We did it! Thanks to all of our residents, staff and families who made The Longest Day an awesome event! As part of the Rock-A-Bye Belles team, you’ve helped to raise millions for the Alzheimer’s Association. Around the world, thousands of teams joined in for this cause!
A special recognition goes out to Johnny Herbert (Visit his website here: http://www.johnnyherbert.net, view his demo video on youtube here: Johnny Herbert’s video) for donating 6 hours of singing and playing the Ukulele – everyone exclaimed “He is so wonderful!” Residents who suffer from Alzheimer’s were smiling, singing and tapping their feet. It was moving and very emotional for all of us to see. Thank you Johnny, for making our day so pleasant and memorable!
Living with Alzheimer’s —and caring for someone who has it — tests one’s strength, heart and endurance. That’s why today, thousands of us spent the day ROCKING, running, hiking, biking, swimming, dancing, cooking, bowling, Nu-Stepping, playing bridge and scrapbooking, from sunrise until sunset. Along the way, we raised millions to advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
The Painting above was donated by Don Cousins of “U Can Do IT” Oil Painting. Our financial goal for our team was $ 1,600 and we are short $145. We are offering this painting for the amount $145 so that we reach our goal for the Alzheimer’s Association! Thank you Don! Please contact Tammy Bettelli at 732-941-1913.
