Our dedicated Staff and Volunteers at Alcoeur Gardens, New Jersey’s premiere Assisted Living facility specializing in Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care, braved the soggy weather this past Saturday, September 24, 2016 to participate in the Southern Regional Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Point Pleasant, NJ.
The event was coordinated by Alzheimer’s NJ, alznj.com and has raised nearly $197,000 so far.
How’s that for kickin’ some Alzheimer’s butt and on a local level no less!
Alcoeur Gardens’ own Angels for Alzheimer’s joined thousands of local “walkers” to raise funds for a cause that is near and dear to our hearts, exceeding their goal of raising 2K.
It’s not too late to help those you know suffering with Alzheimer’s and we are still collecting donations. Support the Angels for Alzheimer’s at the following link Alcoeur Gardens Walk to End Alzheimers 2016. This year 100 % of all donations go directly to research and care for those suffering from this disease.
Great work Angels!
Props to Alcoeur Garden’s volunteer Angelica Perez, who has a club at school who’s’ mission it is to seek out fundraising events to support monthly.
This month she chose to support The Walk to End Alzheimer’s, made 100 purple ribbons and sold them for a $1 each and raised $92 in donations in addition to walking “The Walk”.
If anyone would like to purchase a ribbon we still have a few left and Anjelica and her team will happily make more to support finding a cure for Alzheimer’s.
